We invest private capital in developing the systems we bring to the defense market, focusing on cost-efficient solutions and fast iteration cycles. This approach allows the governments we work with to save money while providing a sufficient response to the ever-evolving challenges of today's battlefield.

Leadership

  • Before founding Origin Robotics, Agris co-founded and served as CEO of Airdog, Inc, a manufacturer of autonomous consumer drones, from 2014 to 2020. The company was later acquired by Alarm.com. Prior to this, from 2007 to 2014, Agris co-founded and led JIC Biznesa Inkubators, one of the first business accelerators in the Baltic States. This accelerator, which invested in promising startups from the region, was later backed by the government of Latvia and grew to include a portfolio of over 100 startups.

Agris Kipurs

  • Before founding Origin Robotics, Ilja served as Chief Engineer in the drones and robotics division of Alarm.com, a market-leading platform provider for smart home and security, from 2020 to 2022. Alarm.com had acquired Airdog, Inc., a manufacturer of autonomous consumer drones, where Ilja was the Co-founder and CTO from 2013 to 2020.
