Business Operations Manager

At Origin Robotics, we build software-first autonomous aerial systems that are changing how defense is done. Our systems are already deployed with NATO allies and active military partners. As we scale, we’re seeking a Business Operations Manager who can bring structure, speed, and compliance to our growing operation. This role is ideal for someone with a proven command of legal and regulatory frameworks, demonstrated QMS experience, and a track record of driving operational excellence in high-precision environments.

Your Mission

At the heart of every efficient tech company is someone who ensures the machine runs smoothly. As our Business Operations Manager, you’ll coordinate critical internal processes, ensure compliance, optimize workflows, and support department leads—particularly in production, quality, logistics, and documentation. You’ll help us scale smartly and sustainably by identifying inefficiencies and developing systems that support our rapid growth.

What You’ll Do

Operations Coordination & Execution

  • Oversee daily operations across Production, Quality, and Logistics departments

  • Identify inefficiencies and synchronize processes to reduce waste and delays

  • Collaborate closely with technical leads to support deliverables and unblock workstreams

Process Development & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain company-wide operational policies and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with internal protocols, legal standards, and industry regulations

  • Own and support audit readiness, documentation traceability, and structured workflow control

Quality & Systems

  • Lead the development and implementation of a structured Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Continuously improve internal quality frameworks based on evolving technical needs

  • Promote operational excellence through a lean, data-informed mindset

Documentation & Logistics

  • Prepare and manage essential business documentation: procedures, checklists, compliance records

  • Handle export and logistics paperwork, including licenses, invoices, and partner-specific documentation

  • Coordinate with external partners (e.g., infrastructure partner) for day-to-day and project-based tasks

Scaling & Business Efficiency

  • Conduct structured reviews of operational performance and execution

  • Make recommendations to leadership for improving systems, workflows, and tools

  • Support long-term planning for how operations should scale as we grow

What You Bring

  • Proven legal and compliance proficiency—demonstrated ability to navigate regulatory environments and ensure adherence to standards across operations

  • Experience building or managing QMS or structured operational systems

  • Background in operations, logistics, production coordination, or business process management

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent documentation, planning, and problem-solving skills

  • Fluent in Latvian and English

  • Proactive, hands-on, and precise in everything you do
